About the Litigation Fund

The American Workers United is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that aims to protect the rights of American workers, specifically their First and Fifth Amendment rights, which are guaranteed by the United States Constitution. The organization plans to utilize 75% of donated funds to establish a legal fund to support those who have had their rights violated by the federal government son social media.  25% will go to operating costs.

To achieve this goal, the organization will be actively raising funds through donations and other fundraising efforts. Once we have reached our initial goal of $100,000, we will begin accepting applications for financial grants through our website. These applications will be evaluated by a 5-member American Social Media Workers Advisory Board, who will carefully review and select the most deserving applicants to receive financial grants towards their legal efforts.

Working Americans who rely on social media as a source of news and information have been negatively affected by government overreach in several ways. For example, some government officials have proposed laws that would limit the freedom of speech on social media platforms, making it more difficult for users to access and share diverse perspectives and news sources. Additionally, government agencies have been known to use social media to track and monitor the online activity of citizens, raising concerns about privacy and civil liberties. As a result, many working Americans have become more cautious about what they share on social media and may be less likely to engage in political discussions or access certain types of news and information. This can lead to a lack of awareness and understanding about important issues and events, which can negatively impact their ability to make informed decisions and fully participate in democratic processes.

The American Workers United is committed to standing up for the rights of American workers and protecting their constitutional rights from government infringement. With the support of donors and the dedication of our advisory board, we aim to make a real difference in the lives of those who have been affected by government violations of their rights. We encourage anyone who has had their First and Fifth Amendment rights violated by the federal government to apply for a financial grant once our fundraising goal is reached.
